Thanks for a great week once again!
I like to think of Port Cunnington as a second home, and I often refer to the staff as my "Port Cunnington family". We have been returning to Lake of Bays almost every summer since I started taking my very first steps. Port Cunnington has won my heart over again for the last fourteen years or so. I can even pin point the exact spot on the beach where my husband proposed marriage. He new it was a place very dear to my heart. Now, every year my kids look forward to coming back. The Managers and the Owners hold a special place in my heart for restoring, pouring their finances, and heart and soul into one of the most beautiful vacation spots on earth. And of course it isn't a vacation unless you visit the dining room for Chef Gagnon’s creations. This year our favourite was his Thai Inspired Butternut Sqaush soup! It is a must try! Something I love about his food is that it has all the goodness of a home cooked meal mixed with the creativity and presentation class of a 5+ star restaurant. The staff are always very friendly. This year we had the pleasure of meeting Jennifer (our waitress) whose wonderful outgoing personality made our dining experience such a pleasure. And of course thanks to Cam and Kim Loader for another great week at Port Cunnignton Lodge. I don't have to travel to the world of Oz to find my heart's desire - it's in my own backyard, a three hour drive from my home.

Wedding Weekend
Our daughter was married here in September 2010 and 120 of our close friends and relatives joined us. The wedding ceremony took place on the wharf. Everyone had a wonderful time. The food, staff, service, ambiance was just great. The accomodations are clean and cozy, the beds were very comfortable. In addition we found the cost to be reasonable. Several of the guests commented that they would probably return for their own family event.
P.S. Angela is a really great hostess.
Brain Massage
We have only been going to PCL for the last 3 years or so- but have already had some wonderful memories!
We have looked at many other resorts etc and PCL is our fave
hands down.
The staff go out of their way for you and the grounds and lake are breath-taking. Oh and the food is to die for!
So to everyone at PCL- see you next year all being well!
Memories
After 60 summers at Port Cunnington, one of my favourite memories is being chastised by one of the owners for being extremely noisy in the bay on a borrowed Sea-Doo. I agree, at this age. I should know better.
